At BettBids, we strive to ensure a fair and transparent bidding experience for all users. Because BettBids operates as a live auction platform, all bids are considered binding once placed.

Please review the policy below regarding refunds and item issues.

Finality of Bids

All bids placed on BettBids are final. Once a bid is submitted, it cannot be cancelled or withdrawn. If you place the winning bid on an item, you are responsible for completing the purchase.

Item Condition

All items are sold based on the descriptions and images provided in the listing. BettBids works to ensure listings are accurate and transparent.

Payments

Winning bidders must complete payment within the specified timeframe provided at the end of the auction.

Missing paymentsFailure to complete payment may result in cancellation of the order and potential restrictions on future bidding activity.

Auction Sales Policy

BettBids is a liquidation auction platform, not a traditional retail store. All items are sold through a competitive bidding process and all sales are final unless an item qualifies under the BettBids Limited Warranty outlined below.

By placing a bid on BettBids, bidders acknowledge and accept the terms of this Return Warranty Policy.

Buyers are responsible for reviewing item descriptions, photos, and any notes provided in the listing before placing a bid. If there is any uncertainty regarding an item, bidders should contact BettBids prior to bidding.

BettBids Limited Warranty

While most liquidation auctions sell items strictly AS-IS, BettBids provides a limited buyer protection warranty on eligible items to promote fair transactions and confident bidding.

Eligible for Warranty

  • Major functional defect: the item does not work as described
  • The item was significantly misrepresented in the listing
  • The claim is submitted within the 10-day warranty window
  • The item is not marked "AS-IS" in the listing

Not Eligible

  • Items marked "AS-IS" and sold without warranty coverage
  • Minor issues visible in listing photos
  • Claims submitted after the 10-day window
  • Personal preference, buyer's remorse, or change of mind

"AS-IS" items have zero warranty coverageItems clearly marked "AS-IS" are sold in their current condition with no returns or warranty of any kind. Inspect listing details carefully before bidding.

Warranty Deadline

Each auction includes a Warranty Deadline Date, which is 10 days after the auction closing date. All warranty claims and physical returns must be completed before this deadline.

Staff will determine at the time of return whether the item qualifies under the warranty.

It is the buyer’s responsibility to inspect, test, and verify items within the warranty period.

  1. Day 0 Auction closes
  2. Days 1-7 Submit claim window open
  3. Days 8-10 Final window - act now
  4. Day 11+ Warranty expired - no returns

Claims submittedAll claims must be submitted within 10 days of auction close. Late submissions are not accepted under any circumstances.

Items Not Eligible for Return

BettBids does not accept returns for minor issues or situations that do not affect the primary function of an item. Returns will not be approved for:

  • Buyer's remorse
  • Incorrect retail price listed
  • Colour differences due to screen display
  • Items that do not fit personal preference
  • Minor cosmetic imperfections
  • Missing manuals
  • Missing common hardware (screws, bolts, nuts, washers, etc.)
  • Issues clearly visible in listing photos
  • Conflicting description/photo situations when the buyer proceeds to bid

If a listing contains conflicting information, bidders are expected to request clarification before placing a bid.

Exchanges and Refunds

When a return is approved, BettBids will attempt to replace the item with an identical or equivalent item when available. If a replacement is not available, a full refund will be issued.

Refunds will be processed using the original payment method:

Credit Card
Refunded to the original card
Debit Card
Refunded to the same card; the card must be present
Cash
Refunded in cash
E-Transfer
Issued as account credit for future auctions

Returned itemsBettBids does not offer relisting, restocking, or resale options for returned items.

Manufacturer Warranty Disclaimer

BettBids is not an authorized distributor or retailer of the items sold through its auction platform.

Manufacturer warranties vary by brand and are subject to the policies of the individual manufacturer. Some manufacturers may honour warranties with proof of purchase, while others require purchase through authorized retail channels.

BettBids makes no guarantees regarding manufacturer warranty eligibility. Buyers who require manufacturer warranty coverage are responsible for contacting the manufacturer directly prior to bidding.

Listing Accuracy Disclaimer

Item descriptions may be created or assisted by automated systems or third-party data sources. While BettBids strives to ensure accuracy, occasional errors may occur.

Operational Limitations

BettBids processes thousands of products every month, and while our team works diligently to inspect items, occasional oversights may occur.

If an issue occurs that falls within the terms of this policy, BettBids will work with the buyer to resolve the matter fairly.
